Temporary storage can be lost upon reboot. What is the best way to educate myself so I can estimate this as accurately as possible? I know what I would want for local hardware, but am not sure how to apply that to what I'd need on Azure.įor example, how do I decide on # of cores for the RDS VM? What is the "Temporary Storage" all about?ĭo I need to pay for traffic between my VMs? Between my RDS VM and Office 365?ĭoes pricing include automatic backup of my Azure-hosted VMs? I've played with the Azure pricing calculator that Microsoft offers but I'm sad to say I have no confidence in my choices. Users would be working 8-10 hours per day, and I'd like options for site to Azure VPN and also client to Azure VPNs for when the users are out of the office. The RDS server would host file shares, a couple of applications, along with Office 2016 connecting to their mailboxes on Office 365. Users would live on the RDS server with little or no file transfers in or out. Want to bring up an AD server, a file server, and an RDS server to support around 30 users. Want to basically live in Azure so that office workstations/notebooks contain no live data. Interested in bringing up a whole new environment in Azure.
